The seasonal migratory birds from Sino-Tibetan plateau, generally visit the place in riddance of extreme winter, seeking for favourable habitats, and Nyamjang Chhu, one of the wintering sites at Zemithang, under Tawang district, and Sangti valley in West Kameng district are the two wintering sites in India.
