Agartala, August 1. PRTC is not in effect for the recruitment process in all the departments of the state. As a result, youths from outside the state are getting an opportunity to come to the state and take out PRTC on their own. Alleging this, Pradesh Youth Congress, Pradesh Mahila Congress, NSUI and Pradesh Congress jointly organized a protest program from the Pradesh Congress Bhavan on Tuesday. They went around different roads of the city and joined the protest in front of the Labor Department office.
Provincial Youth Congress vice-president Shahajan Islam, who was present at the protest program, criticized the government and said that a decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting a few days ago that PRTC is mandatory for the appointment of all departments in the state. But even then PRTC is not made mandatory for recruitment in PWD and Dental Colleges. As a result, the Tripura government has given a great opportunity to the boys and girls from outside the state to get jobs in the state again. Apart from this, youths from outside the state are applying for jobs through fake PRTC in those departments where PRTC has been made mandatory. Therefore, Yuva Congress demanded to remove the deprivation rather than do this kind of cheating to the youth of the state. He also demanded that strict action be taken against the officials who are helping to unearth the fake RTC.
