Agartala, July 3: The police of Ambassa police station has again achieved great success in creating a drug-free Tripura. A police official said that a total of 19,575 bottles of phensidyl in 198 packets were recovered after searching the cement-laden vehicle at Ambassa Kathalbari Magpara Naka point. . The co-driver of the car has been arrested. But the driver of the car was able to escape from the spot. He said that the market value of seized phensidyl will be approximately Rs 1 crore 40 lakhs.
The police official said that this morning, the police arrested a 12-wheeler lorry loaded with cement number AS01QC3268 at Ambassa Kathalbari Magpara Naka Point. A total of nineteen thousand five hundred and seventy five bottles of phensidyl in 198 packets were seized. But the car driver managed to escape from the spot. However, the co-driver of the vehicle was arrested.
He also said that the arrested co-driver’s name is Mintu Das. He said that the market value of seized phensidyl will be approximately Rs 1 crore 40 lakhs. The police have started investigation by taking a case against them under NDPS section.
