Agartala: Nov 14: The police of Irani police station arrested the main accused of missing thirteen-year-old Kajal Nama from Khawrabil village of Kailashahar. Kajal Nama’s killer is 16-year-old Rankel Nama of the same village. Kajal Nama, the son of Gopal Nama, a permanent resident of Ward No. 4 of Khawrabil Village Panchayat, left his house on Friday afternoon on November 11 to play. Since then, Kajal has been missing.
Kajol’s elder brother Kanchan also lodged a written complaint with the Irani police station. The police of Irani police station also investigated the incident. When Kajol went to play on Friday afternoon, the villagers saw two other minors from the same village with Kajol. On Sunday afternoon, November 13, the villagers called the two minors and asked where Kajol was. After interogation the two minors initially did not confess, but later they confess orally, but the villagers suspected that they had entered the forest where Kajol’s dead body was and ran away from the forest after seeing Kajol’s dead body. The villagers suspiciously enter the forest and find Kajol’s dead body.
Initially the two minors informed the Irani police through some good intermediaries. On receiving information, a large contingent of police and TSR forces led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dhruba Nath reached the spot and rescued the two minors from the mob and took them to Irani police station. During police interrogation, Sudhamoy Nama and Rankhel Nama among the two minors, Rankhel Nama himself confessed to the murder. As Rankhel Nama confessed, the police arrested Rankhel Nama on Sunday night and sent the accused murderer Rankhel Nama to Kailasahar court on Monday afternoon.
The accused murderer has confessed to the Rankhel Nama police that he committed the murder himself. Rankhel Nama is 16 years old. The case number of the case filed in Irani Police Station is Irani.PS 88/2022.
Sections 302/201ipc has been applied in the case. On Monday, November 14, the accused murderer was taken to RGM Hospital for medical before sending him to court. While leaving the hospital, Rankhel Nama himself confronted the reporter and said that he had committed the murder alone and had strangulated him.
Kajal Nama, who died a few days ago, had abused him and to take revenge, Rankhel Nama killed Kajol. However, Rankhel also stated that Sudhamoy was not involved in the murder, adding that Sudhamoy was innocent.
However, it is learned from the villagers that deceased Kajal Nam, Rankhel and Sudhamoy take cannabis daily. It may be noted that Gopal Nama, father of deceased Kajal Nama, has been bedridden for the past two years due to paralysis.
