Agartala: Nov 13: On Sunday, Tripura Trinamool Congress organized a special press conference near Rabindra Bhavan. Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress in-charge Rajiv Bandopadhyay, Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev, Pradesh Youth Trinamool Congress President Santanu Saha, Women President Panna Dev and other leaders were present in this press conference.
Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress in-charge Rajiv Bandopadhyay said, “Preparations are going on for the grand rally in Agartala on November 14. We are very sad and worried that there is no democracy in Tripura, may have allowed us to march and stage, but from yesterday our activist supporters will come from different districts, The obstruction has started. At various places where we have booked cars, people have started being intimidated so that they don’t give cars, some people are being threatened not to attend these Trinamool Congress rallies and meetings.” He added, “Our All India Trinamool Congress president and MP Kakali Ghosh Dastidar, MP Mahua Maitra and Sayantika Banerjee will attend the rally and meeting from Kolkata.”
All India Trinamool Congress MP Sushmita Dev said, “I deplore the way our worker supporters are being intimidated in various places including Teliamura, Surma, Sonamura. I will tell the BJP that everyone has the right to take to the field and do politics in a democratic country.”
