Agartala: Nov 10: Again, a patient died in Bishalgarh sub-district hospital due to extreme negligence of the doctor and lack of ambulance. According to the details of the incident, a person named Biswajit Nam from Bishalgarh East Gokulnagar area was brought to the sub-district hospital by his family members for treatment on Wednesday afternoon. Later Biswajit Nam was referred to GB Hospital as his condition was very serious. The patient died as soon as he was taken into the ambulance. Later, the patient’s relatives got excited and vandalized the hospital ambulance. Bishalgarh police rushed to the spot after receiving the information.
The patient’s family complained that the doctor was informed after the patient’s physical condition became critical. And permission was sought for referral to Agartala GB Hospital. But the doctor first argued with the referral. Later, even after taking a written referral, they did not want to provide ambulance service. As a result, it takes a long time. The doctor alleged that the patient could not be saved even though the ambulance service was available after a long time. The doctor said that on the day the patient’s family came and asked to be referred to GB Hospital.
Immediately went to the patient and saw the deterioration of the patient’s condition and was referred to IGM Hospital. But as soon as the patient is picked up in the ambulance, he can die. Even after such complaints of negligence and inhumanity of doctors in Bishalgarh sub-district hospital have been raised several times, there is no investigation by the health department. If the victim of such negligence is the patient’s family then the death row will be long. The administration will not have the answer. And people will be afraid to go to the hospital to seek health care.
