Agartala: Jan 16: Alleging thuggery by the ruling party in the minister’s area, the Youth Congress workers surrounded the minister’s residence at Krishnanagar in Agartala city and asserted their strength. Youth Congress workers stopped the minister’s car and blocked the road without getting a response from Minister Ratanlal Nath. A strong protest started by sitting on the streets and chanting slogans against the minister. Complaints of Youth Congress workers on the day of Makar Sankranti, miscreants of the ruling party attacked the vehicles of Congress digital campaign decorations in the area adjacent to Mohanpur Fire Service and destroyed the decorations.
Various items were vandalized and generators used for campaigning were looted. Ratanlal Nath, MLA and Law Minister of the area, is fully responsible for this incident. Agartala: Jan 16: In protest against vandalizing of LED trucks hired by Congress for poll campaigning and looting of various items from those vehicles allegedly by BJP supporters on Sunday in Mohanpur which is the constituency of Education, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratanlal Nath, hundreds of Youth Congress supporters protested in front of his house today.
The protesters gheroed the house raised slogans against the Minister accusing that under his indulgence the vehicles were vandalized. Four LED trucks which were coming towards Agartala were vandalized under Simna police station under West Tripura district.
The protestors were later detained by police and the area was cleared as there was skirmish between the protesters and the police.
