Jolaibari, June 9 — In a committed effort toward the overall development of the Jolaibari Assembly constituency, Minister Sukla Charan Noatia recently inspected the severely damaged sections of the national highway in the region. The inspection comes in response to the widespread road damage caused by the devastating floods of August last year, which have since disrupted daily life and transportation for local residents.
Accompanied by South Tripura District Magistrate Mohammad Sajjad P, Minister Noatia visited the dilapidated stretches of the national highway near the Sachirambari area. The condition of the roads has significantly deteriorated, creating serious challenges in mobility and posing safety risks for commuters.
During the inspection, key local leaders were also present, including Jolaibari Panchayat Samiti Chairman Tapas Datta and BSC Chairman Ashok Mog, among other dignitaries. They discussed the urgency of the situation and the need for immediate rehabilitation of the damaged infrastructure.
Minister Noatia assured residents that swift and effective measures will be taken to ease their hardships. He directed concerned officials to expedite the repair and restoration work on the affected roads to ensure smooth transportation and improve safety.
Residents of Jolaibari have welcomed the minister’s proactive approach and expressed their gratitude to both the government and the district administration. They appreciated the prompt response to their long-standing grievances and are hopeful that the roadwork will begin soon.
The visit underscores the state government’s commitment to addressing infrastructure challenges and improving the quality of life in rural and flood-affected areas. It also reflects the administration’s focus on delivering timely development, especially in regions that are often overlooked but bear the brunt of natural calamities and administrative delays.
