Agartala, April 18: Christians in Tripura observed Good Friday by recalling Christ’s walk to Calvary to mark the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Large number of devotees attended Way of the Cross at the Agartala Don Bosco church rituals and prayed for universal peace and prosperity.
Rev. Fr. Christopher Warlarphi, the Parish Priest accompanied by other clergy members conducted the way of the cross as passionate Christian devotees carrying the huge wooden cross.
Devotees do this to show their love for Jesus Christ and also to feel the same pain that Jesus had endured during his crucifixion.
This is the day in history, recorded as the day when Jesus Christ was crucified but still it is said Good Friday, Good because on this day, Lord Jesus did a great deed. He sacrificed Himself for humanity.
In fact, Jesus showed the way of tolerance and in today’s world also it is very relevant to love each other or one nation toward another for world peace and prosperity.
