Agartala: Jan 06: There are 679 centenarian voters in Tripura. This information came to light after the final voter list was published. According to the final voter list, there are 28 lakh 13 thousand 478 people in Tripura. The total number of voters in the 2018 assembly elections was 25 lakh 73 thousand 413 people. In that, there has been an increase of 2 lakh 40 thousand 65 voters in five years.
In the final voter list, there are 14 lakh 14 thousand 576 male, 13 lakh 98 thousand 825 female and 77 third gender voters. Besides, there are about 13,500 Bru refugees in the list of new voters who have been arranged for permanent residence in Tripura.
The proportional rate of electoral population was earlier 647 people. Now it has increased to 666. Similarly, the number of women in new voter registration is higher than that of men. As a result of Election Commission’s special campaign, 10766 more women voters have been registered than men this time. Meanwhile, earlier there were 981 women voters for every 1,000 male voters. Now it has increased to 989 people. Voters of the third gender were 46 before, now it has increased to 77.
Meanwhile, 3328 polling stations have been set up at 2504 locations in Tripura. There are 10344 service voters. According to the information given by the commission, 65044 new voters aged 18 to 19 years have been registered in the final voter list. Among them there are 34704 male, 30328 female and 12 third gender voters. On the other hand, total Divyangan voters in Tripura are 17297 with 3661 new voters. According to the information given by the commission, there are 679 centenarian voters in Tripura and 38039 voters above 80 years.
