Agartala: Feb 12: A bloodied body of a young man was discovered early this morning by the side of the road in Gouinong Para, New Gomati Village, under the Karbook block, sparking a wave of alarm in the area. The body, found near the Bru refugee camp, was identified as Mankiema Riang, 29, a resident of the village. Locals immediately alerted the Natanbazar Police Station, and law enforcement quickly arrived at the scene.
Upon investigation, the police confirmed that Mankiema Riang was the deceased. His body was retrieved and sent for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Mankiema’s wife, who was devastated by the news, accused her husband’s death as a murder. She explained that after completing his work the previous day, Mankiema had gone to visit his friends. However, his body was found today under suspicious circumstances.
Following the wife’s statement, the police detained three individuals as suspects in connection with the incident. These individuals were taken to the Natanbazar Police Station for further questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
