Agartala: Feb 05: In a major employment push, the Tripura government distributed a total of 2,806 job offer letters across various departments during a programme held at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Manik Saha, along with his cabinet colleagues, handed over the offer letters, while Union Home Minister Amit Shah participated virtually in the event.
The distribution process began with the Chief Minister and Ministers awarding nine offer letters on stage, followed by department-wise distribution at designated stalls.
Addressing the gathering virtually, Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated the Tripura government for maintaining transparency and ensuring a corruption-free and unbiased recruitment process, providing opportunities for the state’s youth to contribute to the development process.
He extended his best wishes to all those who received offer letters and stated that by joining the workforce, the 2,437 multi-tasking staff and 370 health department employees have now become part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Vikshit Tripura” and “Vikshit Bharat.”
Shah also commended the efforts of the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC), Tripura Teachers’ Recruitment Board (TTRB), and Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) for conducting a transparent and corruption-free selection process.
Speaking to reporters later, CM Saha acknowledged the delay in issuing the appointment letters following the qualifying Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) examination but emphasized that the government’s transparent approach had fostered a new atmosphere of trust in the state.
Responding to Opposition allegations of an employment crisis in Tripura, the Chief Minister dismissed the claims, asserting that his government is not only filling vacant government posts but also generating employment opportunities through skill development programs, cooperative societies, and self-help groups (SHGs).
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of employment generation, industrial growth, and entrepreneurship development, where job seekers are being transformed into job providers.
Meanwhile, candidates who received their job offer letters expressed gratitude to the state government, calling it a significant relief amid concerns over employment opportunities.
