Agartala: Jan 02: CPIM State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury hinted that the Trinamool Congress should stay away from the BJP and come under one umbrella in the upcoming assembly elections. Facing the media at the party office, Jitendra Chowdhury said to defeat the main ruling party BJP, the rule of law has been completely paralyzed in the state of Tripura. The constitution almost prohibits it. Tripura has come to this situation because the Chief Minister was not elected by the people’s vote but became the Chief Minister by the Chappa vote.
People’s democracy needs to be restored. The CPIM is in internal talks with other political parties, including Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Kishore Dev Varman. Pradyot Kishore Dev Varman is out of state due to physical ailment. The statement sent to him to come forward to establish democracy and the rule of law. He supported it. So now there is an earthquake in the ruling party. Speaking up for democracy becomes unbearable and uncomfortable for the ruling party. It is clear that they are morally distant from the people. So CPIM decided next time opposition political parties can decide to establish democracy.
He said it would be better if the opposition political parties were united to establish democracy. However, Jitendra Chowdhury expressed doubts about the Trinamool Congress. He said Trinamool Congress is the killer of democracy in other states. Whether all the opposition parties will come is another matter. But people don’t want to trust Trinamool Congress. However, he said that the right time will be decided next day. Meanwhile, Pradyot Kishore Dev Varman has been demanding since the beginning that if he joins with the opposition, the support of Greater Tipraland must be in writing. So, is CPIM walking on that path now, or can CPIM keep Pradyot away from that agreement? The question has started in political circles.
