Agartala: Nov 28: On Thursday, Minister Sushant Chowdhury attended the final day of the Hari Naam Sankirtan at Lake Chaumuhani market, where he personally distributed the Maha Prasad. The event, organized by the market committee, was part of the 58th Gauraanga Mahaprabhu festival, which saw thousands of people gathering to participate and receive Prasad. The festival, a significant cultural event, brought together devotees in celebration.
In his address, Minister Chowdhury highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s guiding vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” (Together for All, Development for All, Trust for All). He emphasized that the development of any nation or state must be inclusive, benefiting all sections of society without exclusion. The minister expressed his strong support for religious tolerance and unity, reaffirming that India has always embraced peaceful coexistence and has never attacked any other religion.
However, Chowdhury also condemned the attacks on Hinduism in Bangladesh, specifically pointing to the detention of ISKCON’s Mahaprabhu without bail. He described this as an attack on Hinduism and Sanatan Dharma, stressing that such actions were unjust and violated religious freedom. The minister further asserted that Sanatan Dharma is the world’s oldest and greatest religion, one that promotes love, compassion, and peace, rather than violence or aggression.
Minister Chowdhury’s remarks came at a time when concerns about religious persecution, particularly against Hindus in Bangladesh, have been rising. His speech underscored the importance of protecting religious rights and ensuring that all communities can live in harmony and peace, both within India and abroad.
