Agartala: Nov 26: The responsibility of protecting the country’s constitution lies with everyone. However, there are continuous encroachments on the fundamental rights of the people in the country. Expressing concern on the 75th Constitution Day, MLA Sudip Roy Barman raised these issues.
On the 75th Constitution Day, a discussion meeting was organized by the Pradesh Congress at the Student Health Home in Agartala. Present at the event were Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha, Tripura’s in-charge observer Christopher Tilak, MLA Birjit Sinha, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, and others. Professor Chandita Basu Majumdar was also present as the keynote speaker. From today’s meeting organized by the Pradesh Congress, the party has announced a 60-day long campaign to protect the Constitution across the state.
MLA Sudip Roy Barman, while criticizing the current ruling party, said that they are working with a mindset of running a one-party rule. The ruling party is trying to suppress the people in various ways. But the Congress party representatives will fight against this injustice.
