Agartala: Sept 22: Left-wing student and youth organizations held a protest on Sunday afternoon, advocating for three main demands: the immediate filling of all vacant government positions, an end to outsourcing in government offices, and the swift completion of ongoing recruitment processes.
The protest, organized by SFI, TSU, DYFI, and TYF, took place in front of Maharani Tulsibati Girls’ School. DYFI state president Palash Bhoumik highlighted the issue of unfilled vacancies in various state government departments.
He noted that the recruitment processes already decided by the government are facing delays, exacerbating the unemployment problem. Bhoumik warned that if the government does not address these issues, larger protests will be organized across the state in the future.
He also mentioned that SFI, TSU, DYFI, and TYF plan to send a mass letter to the Chief Minister on September 30th. He called on the youth to unite and fight for job opportunities, expressing skepticism about appealing to the BJP government’s sense of humanity.
Other leaders present at the event included DYFI state secretary Nabarun Dev, former leader Amal Chakraborty, SFI state secretary Sandipan Dev, and TSU general secretary Sujit Tripura.
