Gurgaon: A disturbing case of alleged domestic violence has surfaced from Sector 69 in **Gurgaon**, where a 19-year-old biotechnology student from Tripura was reportedly held captive and subjected to brutal assault by her live-in partner for nearly three days. The accused, also 19, was arrested on February 19 following a police rescue operation.
According to the FIR registered at **Badshahpur Police Station**, the incident began on February 16 after the couple moved into a paying guest accommodation rented in the accused’s name. The victim, a second-year student at a private university, alleged that she was physically assaulted, attacked with a knife, and repeatedly tortured. In her statement, she further accused her partner of pouring sanitiser on her private parts and setting them ablaze multiple times.
The victim managed to call her mother on February 18, reportedly saying, “I don’t have time, I will be killed.” Acting promptly, police reached the location, rescued the young woman, and admitted her to Civil Hospital before referring her to **Safdarjung Hospital** for specialised treatment. Doctors confirmed multiple injuries, and her condition is stated to be stable.
She also alleged that the accused filmed the assaults and sexually assaulted her under the false promise of marriage. Their relationship reportedly began in September 2025 through an online app before they started living together in Gurgaon. Over time, the accused allegedly became increasingly violent and controlling.
Police spokesperson ASI Sandeep Turan confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations are ongoing. The case has been registered under multiple sections, including wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation, sexual assault by deceit, and grievous hurt by dangerous means. Authorities have assured that strict action will be pursued to ensure justice.
