Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Sunday stressed that development, good public conduct, and the dedicated efforts of Pristha Pramukhs form the core foundation for winning any election. He was speaking at the inauguration of the Pristha Pramukh Sammelan held in the Mohanpur Assembly Constituency, attended by Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, former Chief Minister and MP Biplab Kumar Deb, and BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharya.
Clarifying that the programme was not a public gathering, the Minister said a series of meetings and a detailed survey had been conducted before organising the Sammelan. “If elections were held today, the BJP would win in the Mohanpur Assembly Constituency. I urged the Pristha Pramukhs to bring more voters from other parties into the BJP fold,” Nath said.
He described Pristha Pramukhs as the pillars of the party, noting their crucial role in strengthening the organisation. “They are our foundation. Alongside organisational work, development and maintaining good relations with the public are essential. These three factors—organisation, development, and people’s trust—are vital for victory,” he added. He also highlighted that BJP karyakartas remain deeply rooted at the grassroots.
Praising the discipline of the gathering, the Minister pointed out that despite the intense sunlight, not a single Pristha Pramukh left their seat. “Today’s event was extremely well-disciplined. All mandal karyakartas and 134 public representatives of the Mohanpur Assembly Constituency were present,” he noted.
Nath emphasised that Pristha Pramukhs are the backbone of the organisation. “Their dedication and tireless work inspire us to build a stronger, more inclusive future. Recognising and honouring their contribution is our responsibility,” he said.
A total of 1,120 Pristha Pramukhs from 56 booths, along with 134 public representatives, participated in the remarkable gathering.
