Agartala, November 21:
Tripura BJP state president and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee has been admitted to a private hospital in Agartala on Friday after he complained of chest pain. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha visited the hospital to enquire about his health condition.
Speaking to the media after the visit, Dr. Saha said that as per the attending doctors, Bhattacharjee has been diagnosed with heart ischemia, but his condition is stable.
Bhattacharjee had reportedly been experiencing chest discomfort for the past few days.
Doctors are closely monitoring his condition and, according to initial medical assessments, a stent insertion is likely.
Bhattacharjee, who recently led several key organisational activities of the BJP in Tripura, is currently under observation at the hospital’s cardiac unit.
