A comprehensive Civic Action Programme was organized by the 108 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) on 20 November 2025 at Charandapara Roajapara Senior Basic School, Dyke-IV, under Rashiyabari Block in Dhalai district. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of local residents and community representatives, reflecting the strong bond between the BSF and the border population.
As part of the initiative, a wide range of essential and recreational items were distributed among civilians and local clubs. These included sports equipment, sports uniforms, musical instruments, stationery kits, solar lights, furniture, Sintex water tanks, water filters, and other useful materials aimed at promoting sports, education, hygiene, and overall community development. The distribution drive was designed to address immediate local needs while also encouraging youth engagement and social well-being.
The programme was presided over by Sh. Aloke Kumar Chakraborty, Inspector General, Frontier Headquarters BSF Tripura, who was accompanied by the Commandant of the 108 Battalion and several civil dignitaries from the region. Addressing the gathering, the IG BSF expressed deep appreciation for the sustained cooperation extended by residents living along the border. He highlighted the crucial role played by the border population in supporting BSF’s operational responsibilities and maintaining peace and harmony in the region.
Reaffirming BSF’s steadfast commitment to the welfare of communities in remote border areas, the IG emphasized that such outreach initiatives are integral to strengthening trust, fostering mutual understanding, and promoting development. He reiterated that the BSF will continue to undertake people-centric activities that enhance the quality of life and contribute to long-term socio-economic growth in the region.
The event concluded with positive public response, reflecting the continued spirit of partnership between the BSF and the local community.
