Agartala, Oct 24: **Tripura Legislative Assembly Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen**, 72, who is undergoing treatment at **Aster CMI Hospital** in Bengaluru, is reported to be in a **stable condition** and showing steady signs of recovery.
According to the latest **medical bulletin** issued by Consultant Neurosurgeon **Dr. Nirmala S**, Sen is breathing independently through a **tracheostomy**, with his oxygen saturation levels remaining normal. He is being fed via a **PEG tube** and continues to exhibit gradual neurological improvement under constant monitoring.
Sen was admitted to the hospital on **August 11** following a **cerebral hemorrhage** in the left gangliocapsular region. Subsequent procedures included a **right frontal external ventricular drain (EVD)** on August 12 and a **tracheostomy** on August 14 to aid respiration. A **CT scan** conducted on October 2 revealed **hydrocephalus**, leading to the successful implantation of a **programmable ventriculo-peritoneal (VP) shunt**.
Doctors have confirmed that once the **artificial cranial implant** arrives, Sen will undergo a **cranioplasty** as part of his continued recovery process. His next phase of rehabilitation will include **physiotherapy**, **transcranial magnetic stimulation**, and **Ayurvedic therapy** for comprehensive neuro-rehabilitation.
