In a dramatic development, a **51-year-old Pakistani woman** who allegedly escaped from a jail in Nepal was detained by security forces at **Sabroom Railway Station** in South Tripura on **Saturday night**. The woman has been identified as **Sahina Parveen**, a resident of **Yaghanabad area in Sheikhupura district of Punjab province, Pakistan**.
According to official sources, the incident occurred around **9 p.m.** when the **Sealdah–Sabroom Kanchanjunga Express** arrived at Sabroom station. During a routine search operation, personnel of the **Border Security Force (BSF)** noticed the woman behaving suspiciously. Upon questioning, she revealed that she was a Pakistani national and had recently escaped from a prison in Nepal before entering India illegally.
The BSF subsequently handed her over to **Sabroom Police** for further investigation. Police sources confirmed that the woman was unable to produce any **valid passport or visa**, strengthening suspicions of illegal entry into Indian territory. She is currently being interrogated in phases to ascertain her motive and the circumstances under which she crossed multiple international borders.
