Agartala, September 18:Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday visited the Palatana OTPC helipad in Gomati district and Mata Tripurasundari temple, both in the Gomati district to review arrangements and security measures ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit on September 22.
The Prime Minister is expected to arrive at the helipad before proceeding to the historic Mata Tripurasundari Temple, where he will inaugurate the temple’s redevelopment project and offer prayers.
During the inspection, Chief Minister Saha was accompanied by Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Higher Education Minister Kishore Barman, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee, Zilla Sabhadhipati Debal Debroy, MLA Abhishek Debroy, and MLA Jitendra Majumdar.
Chief Secretary Jitendra Kumar Sinha, DGP Anurag Dhankar, local DM, SP and other senior officials were also present in the visiting team today as they thoroughly examined the preparedness for the high-profile visit.
On September 22, Prime Minister Modi will officially inaugurate the facelift work of the revered Tripurasundari Temple, a landmark project aimed at preserving cultural heritage and boosting pilgrimage tourism in Tripura.
