Agartala: August 01: In a significant push for community empowerment and grassroots development, MLA and Pradesh BJP General Secretary Bhagaban Das inaugurated two key initiatives on Friday at the North Machmara Village Committee Office in the Pabiacherra Assembly Constituency. The event marked the formal launch of the Machmara Aadhaar Enrollment Centre and a banana chips production project undertaken by Mrigarampara PVTG VDVK (Van Dhan Vikas Kendra).
These initiatives aim to enhance public service delivery and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for local communities. Addressing the gathering, Das described the projects as “a new horizon of convenience, employment, and self-reliance for the people of the region.”
The Aadhaar Enrollment Centre is expected to improve access to essential government services by streamlining digital identity registration for residents in this remote area. Meanwhile, the banana chips unit leverages locally grown produce, providing a platform for income generation and entrepreneurship, especially among members of the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).
Expressing his gratitude to the local administration, panchayat leaders, youth, and women involved in the projects, Das emphasized a collective effort in building a self-reliant Pabiacherra. “These twin launches are symbolic of inclusive growth—bringing digital empowerment and value-added micro-enterprises to the grassroots,” he said.
He urged the community to continue working together in the spirit of collaboration and development, stressing that such efforts would lead to a more resilient and self-sustaining future for the constituency.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by local dignitaries, village leaders, and enthusiastic residents, marking a meaningful step forward in Tripura’s rural development journey.
