Agartala: June 28. Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha are working with dedication to ensure the welfare and development of all communities, particularly the Janajati population.
He also reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to inclusive and accessible governance.
Minister Nath said this while attending a programme under the Jan Jatiya Gaurav Varsh – Dharti Aaba Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan at Rangachhara Gram Panchayat in Mohanpur R.D. Block.
Speaking at the event, Minister Nath said, “All government departments have been brought under one roof here so that people from all sections of society do not face any difficulties. If someone is not receiving their social pension, they can simply come here, fill out a form, and our officials will ensure they get the necessary assistance.”
Highlighting the wide range of services provided at the outreach camp, Nath — who also holds the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare portfolio — said, “From birth certificates, Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, and ration cards to even access to medicines — everything is being made available here. Self-Help Groups are also showcasing and selling their locally made products. Fruit saplings are being distributed to encourage sustainability and self-reliance.”
The initiative, part of the Jan Jatiya Gaurav Varsh – Dharti Aaba Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan, aims to ensure the last-mile delivery of government services, especially in tribal areas.
During the programme, essential documents such as Aadhaar cards, Permanent Resident Certificates, ST Certificates, and marriage certificates were handed over to tribal beneficiaries. Agricultural machinery was also distributed among local farmers to boost rural livelihoods.
Minister Nath lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha for their tireless efforts in ensuring the development of all communities, particularly the Janajati population.
“Our government is working tirelessly to reach every village and uplift the lives of our tribal brothers and sisters. This is the benefit of the double-engine government,” he said.
He concluded with a heartfelt message: “May my tribal brothers and sisters be happy and self-reliant. The government stands with you — for your progress, dignity, and well-being.”
