Agartala, June 25: A comprehensive district-level review meeting was held on Tuesday at the conference hall of the District Magistrate’s office in North Tripura. The meeting aimed to evaluate the performance and progress of welfare schemes managed by the Animal Resource Development Department, Fisheries Department, and Scheduled Caste Welfare Department.
The session was chaired by Minister for Social Welfare and Social Education, Shri Sudhangshu Das, and brought together senior officials and departmental heads responsible for executing welfare initiatives in the district.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Das stated, “A detailed assessment was conducted to identify any delays, bottlenecks, or lapses in the timely disbursement of benefits to eligible beneficiaries under the 2025–26 financial year. The goal is to ensure that government schemes reach the grassroots level efficiently and without delay.”
The meeting involved in-depth discussions on accelerating project implementation, optimizing fund allocation and utilization, and identifying areas that require administrative or logistical attention. Minister Das emphasized the need for proactive governance, transparency, and accountability in all welfare-related programs.
In addition to reviewing individual department performance, the session placed special emphasis on improving inter-departmental coordination. “Effective collaboration among departments is essential to deliver comprehensive and timely services to our citizens. We are working to strengthen coordination mechanisms and ensure accountability at every level,” added the Minister.
The review meeting is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to ensure the efficient delivery of public services and welfare schemes, particularly to marginalized and underrepresented communities in North Tripura. Further reviews and follow-up actions are expected in the coming weeks to monitor implementation outcomes.
