Agartala, June 25: As part of the ongoing Janjatiya Gaurav Divas celebrations, a 15-day special awareness and beneficiary saturation campaign under the Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Abhiyan is currently being implemented across Tripura. The initiative aims to ensure that every eligible tribal household is included under key government welfare schemes through inclusive and doorstep service delivery.
A major camp under this campaign was organized on Tuesday at Jaithang SB School in North Tripura’s Jubarajnagar RD Block. The event was inaugurated by Tinku Roy, Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Social Welfare and Social Education.
In his address, Minister Roy emphasized the campaign’s significance in ensuring last-mile delivery of essential services such as ration cards, housing benefits, healthcare support, pensions, and educational scholarships. “This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to inclusive development and tribal empowerment,” he said.
Other dignitaries present at the event included North Tripura Zilla Sabhadhipati Aparna Nath, Panchayat Samiti Vice Chairman Samarendra Debnath, and Community Development Officer Prasenjit Malakar. They echoed the Minister’s sentiments and praised the coordinated efforts of various departments to reach out to tribal communities in remote areas.
Minister Roy noted that the campaign, running from June 15 to 30, 2025, is part of a nationwide effort to integrate tribal communities into the mainstream by making essential public services easily accessible. He lauded the proactive participation of beneficiaries and officials, and highlighted the importance of continued outreach.
During the camp, many beneficiaries received on-the-spot support, enrollment assistance, and financial aid—strengthening the government’s resolve to ensure equitable development across all sections of society. The Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Abhiyan continues to gain momentum across Tripura’s ADC villages.
