The second edition of the prestigious state-level beauty pageant brought together 31 contestants from across Arunachal Pradesh, competing in rounds that highlighted not just beauty, but intellect, cultural pride, and public speaking.
Komal, a nursing graduate, impressed judges and audience alike to clinch the crown. Tokmem Mengu was named first runner-up, while Bengia Jirmin secured the second runner-up spot. The winners received cash prizes of ₹2.5 lakh, ₹1.2 lakh and ₹1 lakh respectively.
The evening was graced by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who lauded the event for empowering young women and promoting the cultural richness of the state. “This pageant is not just about outer beauty. It’s about celebrating our daughters’ strength, intellect, and cultural roots,” the Chief Minister said.
The event featured traditional and contemporary fashion segments, musical and dance performances, and an enthusiastic audience. The Chief Minister also congratulated organiser Takam Anju and her team for a successful event, reaffirming his commitment to creating platforms for all forms of youth talent—whether in art, fashion, music, or entrepreneurship.
Newly crowned Miss Universe Arunachal Komal expressed her intention to use the title to advocate for mental health awareness and youth empowerment. She will now go on to represent Arunachal Pradesh at the Miss Universe India 2025 contest next month.
