Agartala, June 15: Rita Nag, popularly known as Shreya, from Tripura has brought laurels to the nation by clinching the Bronze Medal on Saturday in the Women’s Model Physique (Below 155 cm) category at the 15th South Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championships 2025, held in Thimphu, Bhutan.
The prestigious international championship, organized under the recognition of the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation (WBPF), started from June 11.
It witnessed the participation of top athletes from several South Asian countries competing in various physique and bodybuilding categories.
She is the first female bodybuilder from Tripura to bring laurels for the state in such international competition claimed coach of Rita Nag and president of the Tripura Body Builders and Fitness Association.
Rita’s remarkable achievement has not only made Tripura proud but also showcased India’s growing presence in international physique sports.
Her dedication, discipline, and outstanding performance stood out amidst intense competition, earning her a place on the podium and accolades from across the bodybuilding community.
With this victory, Rita joins the ranks of athletes who are taking Indian fitness and physique sports to greater heights on the global stage.
