Agartala: May 20: While crossing the border into India, a Bangladeshi citizen and an Indian broker were apprehended by the Sabroom police and BSF personnel. A formal case was filed against them, and the police initiated an investigation.
According to reports, based on secret information, late at night on May 19, at the India-Bangladesh border in the Anand Para Nazrul Park area of Sabroom, a Bangladeshi and an Indian citizen were attempting to cross the border illegally when they were detained by the Sabroom police and personnel from the 114 Border Security Force. Both detainees were crossing into India through the Sabroom border via Ramgarh Upazila of Khagrachari district. The detained individuals are Rubel Chandra Das, a resident of Feni, Bangladesh, and Dulal Das, a resident of Purba Bardhaman’s Purbasthali, West Bengal.
