Agartala: May 19: The state administration has issued a special notification regarding the nationwide general strike scheduled for tomorrow, affirming that all offices, government enterprises, and organizations under its jurisdiction will operate as usual.
According to the notification, the All India State Government Employees Federation has called for a one-day strike to advocate for various demands, including the regularization of contractual employees and the cessation of outsourced, daily wage, and contractual employment. The Tripura Employees Coordination Committee (HB Road) has encouraged state employees and teachers to participate in the strike.
In response, the state government has directed all government employees and personnel working in affiliated enterprises and organizations to continue their regular duties. Chief Secretaries, Secretaries, Special Secretaries, and departmental heads have been instructed to communicate this directive to all staff under their administrative control and ensure compliance. Additionally, attendance records from various departments and organizations are to be submitted to the Administration (AR) Department on the day of the strike.
The notification underscores the government’s stance on maintaining normal operations across all state-run entities during the strike.
