Agartala: April 26: In a gesture of goodwill and cultural exchange, Tripura’s Power Minister, Ratan Lal Nath, met with Sikkim’s Chief Minister, Prem Singh Tamang, during a visit to Gangtok. As a mark of respect on behalf of the people of Tripura, Minister Nath presented traditional gifts, including the “Risa,” a handwoven cloth symbolizing Tripura’s heritage, and a depiction of the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of a regional conference on power management in the northeastern states. The exchange aimed to strengthen ties between the two states while highlighting Tripura’s rich cultural traditions. Minister Nath’s gesture underscored the importance of fostering regional cooperation and mutual respect.
