Agartala, April 18: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, currently on a visit to New Delhi, held crucial meetings on Friday with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Health Minister JP Nadda, who also serves as the BJP’s national president.
Taking to social media, the Chief Minister shared images of his meetings and revealed that he discussed key development initiatives of the state with Amit Shah, seeking continued guidance and central support for Tripura’s progress.
During his courtesy meeting with Health Minister JP Nadda, Saha focused on strengthening Tripura’s health infrastructure, with special emphasis on the expansion of super-specialty services across departments. He requested Nadda’s support in accelerating healthcare improvements across the state.
The meeting with Nadda comes at a significant political juncture, as Tripura BJP is expected to appoint a new state president in the coming weeks—a move likely to shape the party’s organizational dynamics ahead of future elections.
Sources indicate that the Chief Minister is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Delhi visit. He is expected to deliberate on central assistance for state development projects and share Tripura’s perspective on recent geopolitical developments across the international border.
