Agartala: Mar 21: Following the budget announcement for government employees and teachers in Tripura, Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha presented a significant gift to them. After presenting the budget today, he made an important announcement in the Legislative Assembly regarding the increase in Dearness Allowance (DA). The Chief Minister declared an additional 3% DA for government employees and teachers, effective from April 1. This decision will lead to an additional financial burden of ₹300 crore for the state government.
Along with government employees, pensioners will also benefit from this decision, as they will be included in the DA hike. With this new increase, the total DA provided by the state government will rise to 33%. This announcement is expected to bring considerable relief to government employees, teachers, and pensioners in Tripura, as it will help them cope with the rising cost of living.
The DA hike is seen as a positive move to improve the financial well-being of those dependent on government salaries and pensions. The Chief Minister’s decision reflects the government’s commitment to addressing the economic challenges faced by public sector workers, particularly in the context of inflation and increasing living expenses. The hike in DA is expected to be well-received by the state’s employees and pensioners, and it marks another step in the government’s efforts to provide better financial support to its workforce.
