Agartala: Mar 20: At a BJP Kalyanpur Janajati Morcha event today, MDC Bidyut Debbarma made a bold statement, declaring that the history of Congress and Communists will be erased from Tripura’s soil. His remarks were delivered at the event, which honored 37 tribal martyrs killed by militant forces between 1982 and 2003. The tribute ceremony took place at the Bairagi Para School grounds in Rajni Sardar Para ADC Village, Kalyanpur, and was attended by key BJP leaders including Block Chairman Somen Gop, Kalyanpur Mandal President Nitai Bol, and Khowai District BJP President Binoy Debbarma, among others. Notably, MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury could not attend due to being out of the state.
During his address, Debbarma spoke about the growing support for Tipra Motha and BJP, citing the development-oriented approach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a driving force behind the shift. He acknowledged that while Tipra Motha and BJP initially faced resistance, their focus on progress has garnered increasing backing. He also emphasized that the dream of Greater Tipraland can only be fulfilled through the United Nations, not through regional politics.
Debbarma criticized the Left parties, asserting that socialism would never be established in Tripura and that the history of Congress and Communists had failed to reach the state’s remote areas. In contrast, he praised the BJP for its inclusive approach, addressing critical issues like drinking water shortages, irrigation challenges, and power problems, which are under the radar of the development-focused BJP government. Debbarma lauded Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for his role in ensuring free and fair elections. He concluded by stating that Congress and Communists in Tripura are now struggling to find issues to criticize, underscoring the BJP’s dominance and commitment to development.
