Agartala: Mar 11: MLA Sudip Roy Barman predicted a “political earthquake” in Tripura at a Congress rally held today in the state. He emphasized the need for a united struggle against the BJP to protect the interests of the people and the nation. Barman accused the BJP of using force to garner support, warning that this would backfire in the long run. He also criticized the CPM for losing public support and failing to uphold its ideological roots.
Barman’s speech was part of a public meeting organized by the Pradesh Congress, which featured prominent leaders like Lalji Desai, Ashish Kumar Saha, and Pijush Kanti Bhattacharya. The rally was held under the slogan “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Sambit” and saw enthusiastic participation from Congress supporters.
In his speech, Barman praised opposition leader Rahul Gandhi for living a simple life and remaining committed to his beliefs without seeking personal gain. He concluded by reiterating his call for unity and resistance against the BJP, stressing that it was the only way to safeguard the country’s constitution and the welfare of its people.
