Agartala: Mar 07: In a significant move to address unemployment and create new opportunities for tribal youth in the state, the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Japanese organization. This agreement aims to provide tribal nursing students, especially those trained under the ADC government’s programs, with the chance to work in Japan.
The announcement was made by Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, the former Tipra Motha supremo and Member of the District Council (MDC), during a press conference. He emphasized that this initiative is a response to the growing unemployment problem in the state and aims to create a brighter future for the tribal community. By offering job opportunities in Japan, the ADC administration intends to provide tribal youth not just with employment, but with a pathway to a better livelihood.
The program focuses on providing training in nursing and the Japanese language. Those who complete the nursing and language training programs will be eligible to apply for jobs in Japan, where salaries can reach up to ₹2 lakh per month. This provides a significant economic incentive for tribal youth who are struggling to find work locally.
Pradyot Kishore Debbarman further explained that unemployment is a critical issue across India, and the government is committed to tackling it by creating international opportunities for the youth. He encouraged the tribal youth to take full advantage of the program, noting that proficiency in the Japanese language is a mandatory requirement for securing jobs in Japan.
This MoU represents a crucial step in addressing both unemployment and skill development, offering tribal students a unique chance to gain international experience and improve their financial prospects. It also strengthens the ADC’s commitment to the overall development and well-being of tribal communities in the state.
