Agartala: March 01. Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today said that the state government is working with transparency, and due to the ongoing development work, the party in power is gaining people’s faith.
Dr. Saha said this while addressing the Bhumi Pujan and foundation stone laying ceremony of the ALIMCO Auxiliary Production Center at Purba Laxmibil, Bishalgarh, Sepahijala District today.
“This is indeed a day of happiness. I especially want to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi because whatever he promises, he delivers. We have seen how the Central Government has been working for the Northeast through the Act East Policy. Before 2018, PM Modi said he would give us the HIRA model, and due to this model, we have received better internet connectivity, railway expansion, highways, and airways. He has been providing us with one development project after another. This center will be built on around five acres of land,” he said.
Dr. Saha mentioned that when the proposal for the ALIMCO Auxiliary Production Center was brought before the state government, they immediately took action, starting from land acquisition and completing the necessary procedures in a very short period.
“This center will also create employment opportunities. PM Modi has always said that without developing the Northeast, the development of India is not possible, which is why he has declared the Northeast as Ashtalakshmi. This is the first time such a production center is being constructed. Not only will the Divyangjan people of Tripura benefit, but people across the Northeast will also be benefited. A few days ago, I visited Guwahati, and many remarked that Tripura is a small state, yet we are working with transparency; otherwise, we would not have been able to earn people’s trust. We are committed to working with transparency,” he said.
He also stated that the number of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) has increased significantly.
“We are working towards economic development and making people self-reliant. We have a guardian like PM Modi. We have seen the results in Delhi and other states. All of this has been possible due to development work, and people have placed their faith in us. If law and order are not well maintained, investors will not come. Many investors have already shown interest and signed MoUs with us. I have spoken with Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, and the Chairman of the Tata Group Natarajan Chandrasekaran. They have assured us that they will invest in Tripura, which will be a great step forward,” he added.
During the event, Union Minister of the State Banwari Lal Verma, Former Chief Minister and MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Minister for Social Welfare and Social Education Tinku Roy, MLA Sushanta Deb and others were present.
