Agartala: Feb 28: A controversy has emerged surrounding SR Education, an out-of-state coaching center operating near MBB College in the capital. The coaching center prominently advertises courses such as MBBS, Pharmacy, BDS, B.Tech, B.Ed, MBA, Paramedical, and Nursing across states including Tripura, West Bengal, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Drawn by its claims, many students enrolled in the coaching center.
According to reports, students pursuing a B.Ed course in West Bengal paid 35,000 rupees in installments over several months. However, when the academic session was set to begin, the coaching center authorities denied any knowledge or responsibility regarding the arrangements. This left the students feeling cheated and helpless, having lost both their time and money.
On Friday, the affected students staged a protest outside the coaching center, calling on the Chief Minister and the government to investigate the matter thoroughly. They urged authorities to take appropriate action against SR Education to prevent others from facing similar issues in the future. The students highlighted the urgency of resolving the matter to safeguard the interests of the student community.
