Agartala; Feb 19: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dense fog conditions in isolated pockets of Sikkim today, alongside heavy snowfall in higher altitudes. As a result, the route from Tsomgo Lake to Nathula Pass and New Baba Mandir has been blocked due to accumulated snow, causing disruptions for travelers and tourists.
However, the road from 3rd Mile to Tsomgo Lake remains open and accessible. Authorities have advised travelers to check weather updates before planning their journey, as snowfall may continue in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the IMD has also predicted thunderstorms with gusty winds in parts of Northeast India, including Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
