Agartala: Feb 11: Job aspirants have repeatedly gathered outside the Chief Minister’s residence in recent months, demanding the swift completion of the 2022 STGT (Secondary Teacher Graduate Teacher) recruitment process. Despite these protests, there has been no response from the government. When asked about the matter on Tuesday, State Government Minister Sushanta Chowdhury stated that the STGT recruitment process falls under the jurisdiction of the Chief Minister’s office, and therefore, he did not wish to comment on the issue.
Chowdhury further emphasized that protests are not the solution to any problem, adding that the government is committed to providing jobs in a lawful manner. He reassured the public that the current government is ensuring job security, with no repeat of situations like the 10,323 school teachers’ case. This means that when the government offers a job, it will not be taken away in the future.
The minister also highlighted that Tripura is the only state in India where job fairs have been organized, suggesting that unemployed individuals should not resort to protests. Instead, the government will continue to provide jobs in compliance with all legal processes. Chowdhury’s statements reflected the government’s commitment to transparent recruitment while assuring job seekers that their concerns would be addressed following due procedures.
