Agartala: Feb 07: A rally was organized by the 8 Town Bardowali Mandal today from the Agartala Rabindra Bhavan premises to express gratitude to Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha and other ministers for presenting a public welfare and benevolent budget. The procession, which toured various roads of the city, aimed to show support for the state government and its policies.
Speaking to the journalists, a BJP worker highlighted that the central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had presented a welfare-oriented budget for the year 2025. He expressed his appreciation for the budget, noting its focus on public welfare initiatives. The worker also mentioned the distribution of appointment letters to 2,806 individuals at Astabal Maidan on February 5, 2025, which was a significant step toward job creation and youth empowerment. He extended thanks to Chief Minister Manik Saha and other ministers for their role in facilitating this job distribution program, underscoring the positive impact it would have on the lives of many families.
In addition to celebrating the welfare budget, the BJP worker stated that the rally was also organized to protest against the controversial remarks made by All India Congress leader Sonia Gandhi in Parliament. The worker accused the opposition of spreading confusion and misinformation regarding the central budget in the state. He criticized the opposition for attempting to create unrest and mislead the public.
Meanwhile, the opposition had also organized a rally in the city, further intensifying the political atmosphere. The BJP worker strongly condemned the opposition’s actions and emphasized their protest against the opposition’s misleading campaign, urging the people to focus on the positive outcomes of the central government’s policies.
