Agartala: Jan 19: On Sunday, Nazrul Kalakshetra hosted a significant event—a mega blood donation camp and one-day convention—organized by the Rashtrabad Karmi Sangha and Rashtrabad Shikshak Sangha, both associated with the Vivekananda Bichar Manch, Tripura Pradesh. The event also marked the launch of Raktabandhan, an online web portal dedicated to blood donation.
Ratan Lal Nath, the state’s Minister of Power, graced the event as the chief guest. He expressed his gratitude to the blood donors and the organizers, calling blood donation “the greatest service to humanity.” Nath also lauded the Raktabandhan portal, highlighting its potential to revolutionize blood donation by creating a seamless connection between donors and recipients. The portal aims to provide all necessary information related to blood donation, making it easier for people to donate or access blood when in need.
Deepak Majumdar, the Mayor of Agartala, also spoke at the event, praising the initiative for its role in fostering a healthy society. He emphasized how such efforts are vital in strengthening the community and ensuring the availability of life-saving blood.
The blood donation camp saw a tremendous turnout, with many citizens coming forward to donate, underscoring the spirit of solidarity and humanity. With the launch of Raktabandhan, the event promised a new era of efficient, accessible blood donation services for the people of Tripura.
