Agartala: Dec 18: Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha addressed the media today at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, highlighting the state government’s efforts to provide jobs through a transparent recruitment policy. He emphasized that over 13,000 government jobs have been created during the current government’s tenure, with transparency being a key aspect of the recruitment process.
While acknowledging the state’s unemployment challenges, the Chief Minister clarified that it is not feasible to provide jobs for every unemployed individual. However, the government is actively working to create new posts across various departments, ensuring that opportunities are available to a significant number of people.
Dr. Saha further revealed that discussions are ongoing with investors to generate employment opportunities in different sectors within the state. The government is focused on fostering an environment conducive to job creation, particularly through investments that will stimulate economic growth.
He expressed confidence that with these initiatives, the issue of unemployment in the state would be resolved in the near future. The government’s efforts to balance transparency in recruitment with the creation of new job opportunities are seen as part of a broader strategy to address the state’s economic challenges and improve the livelihoods of its citizens.
