Agartala: Nov 27: Everyone was shocked and stunned when Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, a champion of minorities in Bangladesh, was arrested by the Bangladesh police from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka last Monday. It is alleged that Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, who is associated with ISKCON Bangladesh, had no case or charge against him, yet he was arrested.
It is believed that the Bangladesh government arrested him because he had been leading a movement for the safety and rights of minority citizens in Bangladesh. This assumption has led to protests against the Yunus-led government in Bangladesh by the Hindu Sanatan community in Tripura. On Wednesday, a protest march was organized by the Sanatan Hindu Sena from the Circuit House in the capital.
The procession marched through various roads and reached the office of the Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh, where they strongly protested. The protesters condemned the Bangladesh government, stating that the government is not taking any steps to stop the atrocities against minorities in that country. Instead, the Bangladesh police have arrested the Sanatan Dharma leader Chinmoy Krishna Das. Such a role of the Bangladesh government is unacceptable in any way. They warned that if Chinmoy Krishna Das is not released immediately and the persecution of minorities is not stopped, then Sanatan Dharma people around the world will be forced to join the protests unitedly.
