Agartala: Nov 25: Agartala’s traffic woes continue to plague the city, despite ongoing efforts by the traffic police department. The latest special drive in Maharaja Ganj market, led by Traffic DSP Sudhambaika Aare, aimed to address the issue, but its effectiveness remains uncertain ¹.
The root cause of the congestion is the frequent loading and unloading of vehicles along the roadside. However, with the traffic department being severely understaffed and lacking expertise, managing the traffic in this crowded market has proven to be a daunting task.
To make matters worse, the city’s infrastructure is inadequate, and the existing infrastructure cannot be expanded as per requirements in most cases ¹. This highlights the need for better management and stricter law enforcement.
