Agartala: Sept 25: In a bid to address ongoing issues, ASHA workers in Tripura have submitted a deputation to the Mission Director of the National Health Mission (NHM), addressed to the Chief Minister. The deputation outlines a 10-point demand list, highlighting the challenges faced by ASHA workers in the state.
Despite previous attempts to draw attention to their concerns, the workers feel that their issues have not been adequately addressed. Today, the Tripura ASHA Facilitators and ASHA Workers Association organized a procession starting from Rabindra Bhavan in the capital. The procession moved through various roads in Agartala before reaching the NHM Mission Director’s office.
A delegation, led by labor leader Biplab Kar, submitted the memorandum to the Mission Director. Speaking to the media, Kar emphasized the long-standing problems faced by ASHA facilitators and workers, expressing hope that the deputation would lead to a resolution.
