Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu Visits Remote Village in Dhalai District
Agartala, September 10: Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu visited the remote village of Rajmoni Royaja Para in Dhalai district on Monday. His visit began at the headquarters of the 8th Tripura State Rifles (TSR) Battalion in Lalchhara, Longtarai Valley subdivision, where he was welcomed by District Magistrate Saju Waheed A, District Police Chief Avinash Rai, and other senior officials. The Governor received a guard of honor from the TSR Battalion.
From there, Governor Nallu traveled to Rajmoni Royaja Para in West Govindbari, Chamanu block. Despite bad roads and heavy rain, he walked a considerable distance to reach the village, where he engaged in discussions with the local residents. This visit is considered historic, as no Governor has visited this region in the past 30 years.
During his visit, Governor Nallu emphasized the central government’s commitment to developing aspirational districts and blocks, particularly in remote and tribal-dominated areas. He highlighted the importance of understanding local challenges and taking initiatives to address them. The Governor’s visit to Rajmoni Royaja Para is part of his plan to visit three villages in Dhalai district.
The villagers raised various issues, including the need for better roads, drinking water, electricity, and mobile networks. Governor Nallu listened attentively and instructed the relevant departments to address these concerns promptly.
Accompanying the Governor were his secretary UK Chakma, District Magistrate Saju Waheed A, District Police Chief Avinash Rai, and other senior officials from the district administration and various departments.
