Agartala: Sept 06: A preparatory meeting was held on Friday with the village council at the Tripura Pradesh Congress Bhawan. The meeting was attended by all district and block level leaders of the Adivasi Congress and was chaired by Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha and Adivasi Congress Chairman Shabdkumar Jamatia.
The state Congress president announced that the administration would soon begin preparations for the upcoming village committee elections. The meeting focused on discussing the election strategy, including how the Congress plans to lead the people during the elections. Additionally, there was a discussion on preventing the filing of nomination papers and addressing the pressure on candidates to withdraw their nominations. The state Congress president emphasized that the overall issue was thoroughly discussed during the meeting.
