Agartala, Sept 05: BJP workers and supporters staged a protest in front of Leader of Opposition Jitendra Chowdhury’s house today, condemning Minister Sudhanshu Das’s communal remarks.
The controversy began on August 2, when Minister Sudhanshu Das made communal comments on social media, sparking widespread criticism across the state.
The CPI(M) Tripura State Secretariat strongly condemned the minister’s statement, labeling it inflammatory against religious minorities and potentially destructive to communal harmony.
The CPI(M) has urged the Chief Minister, state government, and police administration to take swift and appropriate measures against Minister Sudhanshu Das.
BJP activists joined the protest in front of CPM State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury’s residence, demanding action against the minister for his communal remarks.
